Life was always an adventure with Mom. Both growing up and as an adult. We had our ups and downs. (I would say that's normal between parents and their children) We had lots of fun as well. We both liked crocheting, sewing, sports, playing pinochle I could go on and on. We liked to go to the outlets in Lancaster, PA Shop till we drop. Have dinner and head home. Mind you, I would pick her up at 7 AM. One time we didn't get home until 11:30 PM! I will miss Mom's laughter, knowledge & wisdom, but mostly her smile and hugs. No tears past the gate Mom. I'll be seeing you when the Lord has finished His work with me here. I love you.

I met Dona in 1985 when starting my new position as clerk in the SICU at Christiana Hospital. She was so very welcoming and helpful with my training. We became friends shortly thereafer. I had no idea that she was just about my parents age; she was "young and full of fun"! (My parents could be too; but...they are my parents!) I had long talks with Dona about her family, growing up out West, sports...especially the Phillies, Golf, and Nascar. We had the best Chinese food dining out; and good pizza dining in. I will very much miss her company, her words of wisdom, her vast knowledge of many topics, and most of all, her just being a great friend while here on earth. I believe the Lord has taken her Home to be with Him after such a long and sometimes difficult life. God Bless you Donut. (My nickname for her). Until we meet again.

My Dear Family,

It is with deep dismay that we can not be there to celebrate her life. We thank God that she is at peace, whole, healthy and at home with the Lord. I rejoice that I had time with her these last few years.
