Geraldine “Gerri” Nickle (nee Knopf) passed away at her house on Sunday, February 10, 2013.  Born in Philadelphia and raised in Penn Valley, Gerri spent the last 40 years in the Kennett Square area.  She was the daughter of the late Frank and the late Laura Knopf.

She matriculated from the Philadelphia College Museum of Art with a Masters degree in fine arts education.  Gerri worked for the Unionville-Chadds Ford School district for over 20 years.  She retired in 2005.  Gerri always enjoyed animals and was a proud supporter of the SPCA and Horse Rescue charities.

Gerri is the beloved mother of Damon, Garth and Laura Lee; grandmother of 4; sister of Andrea and the late Linda.

A gathering of family and friends will be Monday, February 18, 2013 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM at the LONGWOOD FUNERAL HOME of MATTHEW GENEREUX, 913 East Baltimore Pike in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania 19348 (610.388.6070)

Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
