John Reck, III, passed away at his home in West Grove, Pennsylvania on Monday, May 1, 2017.  He was 68 years old.  Born in Wheeling, West Virginia, he was the son of the late John Reck, Jr. and the late Dorothy Frazier Reck.

John served honorably in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.  As Corporal Reck was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 12th Marine, 3rd Division, John was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with Bronze along with the Combat Action Ribbon.

He was the beloved husband of Cindy Henninger Reck; father of Michelle Reck Molina (Jacob), John Reck, IV (Riandi Karlsson), Philip Thomas Reck and Bryan Kropnick (Allie Davis) and the late Ryan James Reck (2011+); grandfather of Geanna Reck, Colin Mathey and Kylie Cooper; brother of Jay Reck (Karen) and Beatrice Lish (Edward).

A memorial service will be at 1:00PM on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the LONGWOOD FUNERAL HOME of MATTHEW GENEREUX, 913 East Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.  Visitation with the family will be from 12:00PM until 1:00PM at the funeral home.

A committal service with United States Marine Corps honors will be at 9:30AM on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940.

A memorial service is also being planned in West Virginia and information will be forthcoming.
