Samir C. Debbas of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday evening, August 13, 2017.  He was 86 years old.  Born on January 11, 1931 in Cairo, Egypt, Samir was the son of the late Costandi Debbas and the late Fahima G. Saleh Debbas.

He was the beloved husband for 51 years to Gertrude Wendtner Debbas; father of Samira Debbas Aird and her husband John and Gamila Debbas Fogg and her husband Brian; grandfather of Maddy Fogg, Nick Fogg and Sofie Aird; brother of Gamil Debbas and the late Blanche Debbas.

Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 10:30AM to 11:30AM at the LONGWOOD FUNERAL HOME of MATTHEW GENEREUX, INC., 913 East Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.  A memorial service will be at the FUNERAL HOME at 11:30AM.  A luncheon will be served at the COLUMBUS INN, 2216 Pennsylvania Ave., Wilmington, DE immediately following the memorial service.

Interment will be private.
