Steven Paul Goehringer of Newark, Delaware passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Christiana Care surrounded by his family.  He was 48 years old.  Born in Wilmington, Delaware, he was the son of David E. Goehringer and Suzanne Holton Goehringer.

He was the beloved father of Jadin Rocke Goehringer; son of David E. Goehringer and Suzanne Holton Goehringer of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania; brother of David Goehringer of Wilmington, Delaware and Lisa Gallagher and her husband Mike of Ashburn, Virginia; former spouse of Valessa Rocke.  Also survived by aunts, uncles and many cousins.

Born and raised in Wilmington, Steven graduated from Concord High School and the University of Delaware.  He also obtained his MBA from Goldey Beacom College.  In his working career, Steven was employed by Dow Chemical Company in their Research and Development Department.

Steven enjoyed hiking, music, family ski trips and vacationing at Cape Cod with the extended family.  He was very fond of animals, especially his own dogs.  Steven volunteered at the local animal shelter.  Steven's favorite sports team was definitely the Miami Dolphins but also liked our local Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies.  He will be remembered as a kind and compassionate person and missed by all who knew him.  The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the caregivers on floor 3MICU at Christiana Hospital for Steven's exceptional care.
