Wi Ping of Pocopson Township and Kennett Square, Pennsylvania passed away on January 8, 2013 at his home. He was 73 years old. Born in Long Island, New York, he was the son of the late John Ping and the late Sue Wei Ping.
Wi proudly served in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea after the war had taken place. Upon his discharge, he began a long career in shipping produce. Wi started as a truck driver for many area distributors to becoming the founding owner of Ping, Produce, LLC. Wi lived the American dream.
He is the brother of Joseph Ping, Sr.; uncle of Dr. Joseph Ping, Jr. and his wife Dr. Ellen Graves: great uncle of Joseph Ping, III and Molly Ping.
A burial service with United States Army military honors was held on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, Pennsylvania.
