Delmont "Del" L. Weible of Landenberg, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Jennersville Hospital.  He was 71 years old.  Born in Middletown, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, Delmont was the son of the late Maurice J. Weible and the late Gladys G. Weible Snyder (nee Miller).

In his working career, Del was employed by R.M. Crossan, Inc. and was a truck driver for Mushroom Transportation.  After retirement, Del worked part-time for L&L Car Quest in Avondale.  He was a member of the Teamsters Union and was a Free Mason.  Del was an avid reader, casino patron, enjoyed classic trucks and tractors and was a World War II history buff.  He loved to socialize and spend time with his friends, especially those who couldn't get out on their own anymore.  Most of all, Del enjoyed life with his family and their dog, "Hannah".  He devoted himself to his grandson, Matthew.  He will be deeply missed.

He is the beloved husband of Frances M. Weible (nee Adamets); father of Donna Allaband and her husband Steve, Jeffrey Weible and the late Sandy Weible; grandfather of Matthew Weible, Jamie Shinn, Nicole Shinn and Steven Allaband; brother of Lois Hostetler and her husband Don, the late Melvin Weible and the late Kenneth Weible.

A funeral service will be offered at 11:00AM on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at the LONGWOOD FUNERAL HOME of MATTHEW GENEREUX, 913 East Baltimore Pike in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania 19348 (610.388.6070 tel.).  Pastor Dan Bodine will officiate the funeral service.  A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, April 24, 2013 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM and on Thursday morning from 10:00AM until 11:00AM.  Burial will follow the funeral service in Union Hill Cemetery, Route 82 in Kennett Square.

Fran, Donna, Jeff and your extended family - we are so sorry for your loss. Del was a very likeable guy and will be truely missed. 23 years ago today he attended our wedding! We are so glad that we recently got to see him at the Adamets reunion. My husband Matt and I really enjoyed talking with him. Take comfort in knowing he is in God's hands now. You are all in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Matt, Trisha, Nicole and Matthew Davis

Dear Weible Family,
When hearing about the passing of Del I was saddened. It just seemed so sudden, since I had talked to him about a month ago.
My impression of him was that he was not big on large gatherings and we had agreed on that. I'm so glad I had those few seconds of conversations with him now. We laughed as we were both holding up one of the columns (wall flowering is more like it) at a recent reception.
I will miss his always saying hello and remembering who I was.
Donna and Jeff please accept my condolences. I know you will miss him.
Fran please accept my heartfelt sympathy.
Genuinely, Mary Robinson

Although I didn't know Dell very well; I have nice memories of Fran and Dell being in my grandmothers kitchen and especially my Aunt Annie's home. My mother always had such nice memories and shared them with me, especially the trip you all took to Florida. My sincere sympathies to the entire Weible family. Sincerely, Christopher Carozzo (son of Donna Pratola and grandson of Fred and the late Angeline Pratola.)

Today is my Uncle Del's funeral in Pennsylvania where I can't be but I am in my heart. He taught me the importance of unconditional love and family. He was like a father to me -- RIP Uncle Del
