Linda Schock Smith

Linda Schock Smith passed away on January 30, 2023 at the Pocopson Home, "her home", the last couple of years after a long illness.  She was 63 years old.  Born in Abington, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Arlene Erickson Schock and William Schock.

She was the beloved wife for 40 years of James Walter Smith; mother of Heather Smith; sister of Karen Pesce (Victor); loving aunt of Nicole, Cristina, Dante, Christopher and Ken.

Following high school graduation, Linda attended the Shenandoah Conservatory of Music, where she concentrated on violin performance.  She was most proud of her time devoted as a reading specialist for children in the Christiana Consolidated School District.  She will be missed by all who knew and were touched by her.

A viewing will be from 10:00AM until 11:00AM with a Catholic Prayer Service at 11:00AM on Friday, February 3, 2023 at the LONGWOOD FUNERAL HOME of MATTHEW GENEREUX, 913 East Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square, PA.

A viewing will be held from 11:00AM until 12:00PM with a funeral service at 12:00PM on Monday, February 6, 2023 at the BYRUM-PARR FUNERAL HOME, 7661 Patrick Highway, Roseland, Virginia.

Burial in the Smith Family Burial Ground will follow the funeral home service on Monday in Virginia
