Louise Mildred Soika passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2016 in Kennett Square, Chester County, Pennsylvania.  She was 100 years old.  Born in Connellsville, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Antonio T. Rulli and the late Clementina Della Cortiglia Rulli.

Devoted to her Catholic faith, Louise was a member of St. Rita's Catholic Church, St. Rita's Christian Mothers, Sons of Italy and Sons of Columbus.

She was the beloved wife of the late John Soika; devoted mother of John Anthony Soika and his wife Sarah "Sally", Michael Joseph Soika and his wife Jennie, Clementina "Tina" Marie Soika and her wife Debbie and Lou Ann Soika; grandmother of John Anthony Soika, Jr., Danielle Nalepka, Erin Soika Donaldson, Hilary Shernell, Jacob Soika, Rachel Soika, Dana Murphy Soika, Jamie Murphy Soika; great-grandmother of 9.  She was predeceased by her siblings, Carmel Rulli, Joseph Rulli, Mary Minnix, Anthony Rulli, Jr. and Nicholas Rulli.

A viewing will be on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM & 6:00PM to 8:00PM and on Friday morning, January 13, 2017 from 10:00AM until 11:00AM at the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, 111 East Green Street, Connellsville, Pennsylvania.  

A Funeral Mass will be offered at 11:30AM on Friday, January 13, 2017 at St. Rita's Catholic Church, 116 S. 2nd Street, Connellsville. 

Burial will follow the Funeral Mass in New St. Rita's Cemetery.
