Marie Stuart Kelley, age 76 of Kennett Square, formerly of Ormond Beach, Florida, passed away Monday January 31, 2011. She was the wife of the late William (Bill) Joseph Kelley with whom she shared 43 years of marriage.

Born in Dublin, Ireland she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Norah Mc Grath. Marie and Bill had a beautiful romance and married in St. Lawrence O'Toole Church in Dublin. They had their first child whom they named Norah after Marie's mother. They were soon blessed with the birth of their second baby girl whom they named Maria because Marie loved the name and it was close to her own. The last baby boy born to Marie and Bill was named after his father.

Marie and Bill's love story continued in the United States when they moved to Providence, Rhode Island with their three children. When her children were grown Marie went back to school to become a Certified Nursing Assistant and graduated with high honors. She worked for Memorial Hospital Ormond Beach on the surgical floor for many years and was an integral and valued part of the health care team.

Marie was a wonderful mother, wife, and grandmother and was adored by her family and was affectionately known to her grandchildren as Nana, Nan, and Nanny.

Marie enjoyed knitting, macrame, crocheting, helping animals, music, and spending time with her family and friends.

Marie is survived by her three loving children Norah, Maria, and Bill, her beloved grandchildren Alexa, Megan, Griffin, Ryan, and Olivia, her cousins Bridie, Danny, and many family members in Ireland, Scotland, England, Canada, Australia, and other parts of Europe, her very close friends Mae and John Milana, and her much loved pets.

A Memorial service will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 3, 2011 at the LONGWOOD FUNERAL HOME of MATTHEW GENEREUX, INC. 913 East Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.

Burial will be held privately by the family.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to American Lung Association of the Mid-Atlantic, 3001 Old Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill, Pennsylvania 17011.
