Norma Joan Uricheck of Wilmington, Delaware, peacefully passed away on November 18, 2017. She was 86 years old.  Born in Upland, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Miller and the late Anna Paullin Miller. 

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph F. Uricheck.  Norma was a loving and devoted mother, who beautifully raised five children on her own, when she became a widow at the young age of forty-two. She was a devout Catholic, who sacrificed to give all of her children a Catholic education and was proud that all of her children graduated from college.  Norma lived a life guided by her faith. She led a prayerful life, attended mass regularly and was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church, Claymont, Delaware for forty-nine years.  Norma attended Germantown School of Nursing and worked at Bell Telephone Company before starting a family.  She also was a retail sales professional at Pomeroy’s Department Store.  She loved spending time with her five children, and ten grandchildren.  Norma enjoyed going to Rehoboth Beach boardwalk, going on cruises with her friends and family and going out to eat at the Olive Garden Restaurant.  She also enjoyed celebrating birthdays and holidays with her family.  Norma was a wonderful, kind, and compassionate person. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Norma is survived by her children; Joseph E. Uricheck and his wife Barbara of Burke, Virginia, Maryanne Holzapfel and her husband Kirk of Hockessin, Delaware, Michael T. Uricheck and his wife JoAnn of Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, Anna Greenjack and her husband Andrew of Thornton, Pennsylvania and Patricia Mullen and her husband David of Gibsonia, Pennsylvania; her grandchildren, James Uricheck, M.D. of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Mikaela Uricheck of Newtown Square, Pennsylvania , Jenna Holzapfel of Hockessin, Delaware, Scott Mullen of Gibsonia, Pennsylvania, Julia Uricheck of Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, Emily Mullen of Gibsonia, Pennsylvania, Matthew Holzapfel of Hockessin, Delaware, Andrew Greenjack, Alexander Greenjack, and Alexis Greenjack of Thornton, Pennsylvania; siblings, Marian Miller, Joseph Miller, and Linda Weatherby and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be offered at 11:00AM on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at HOLY ROSARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 3200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE.  A viewing will be held in the CHURCH from 9:00AM until 11:00AM. 

Burial will follow in Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
