Sharon Jane Walton

Sharon Jane Walton of Kennett Township passed away peacefully on Monday, October 12, 2020 at her home with her family by her side. She was 74 years old.

She was born on June 9, 1946 in West Chester to the late Charles Herbert Walton and Minerva Boyer Walton.  At the age of 4 her family moved to Kennett Square where she graduated from Kennett High School and raised her son, Robert.  She remained in Kennett Square for the remainder of her life.

Sharon retired from Country Fresh Mushroom Company where she worked in accounts payable.  She enjoyed Longwood Gardens, reading, spending time with family and friends and was an active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness.

Sharon was an endearing person to family, friends and strangers alike. 

She is survived by her beloved son, Robert Charles Walton and her two grandchildren Mickey and Kelsey. 

A graveside service will be at 2:00PM on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at SILVERBROOK CEMETERY, 3300 Lancaster Pike, Wilmington, Delaware.  There will be no viewing or funeral home service.
