Sophia Anne Meisch

Sophia Anne Meisch, age 3, of Landenberg, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on January 18, 2020 at Nemours A.I. DuPont Hospital for children.  She was welcomed into heaven with open arms by her namesakes, her great-grandmothers Sofia Pe and Anne Meisch.

Born on December 27, 2016 to her beloved parents Melissa Ann Pe and Jeffrey Peter Meisch, Sophia faced an improbable prospect of living.  With her fiery personality, Sophia defied all odds and lived a full life with a smile on her face everyday.  Throughout her life, Sophia immensely enjoyed being read to, sung to, playing music, bubbles, cuddling, watching and dancing to her favorite movies Moana and Sing and having fun with everyone around her.  With her unrelenting will to live, Sophia was determined to learn and achieved the ability to roll, sit, stand, understand and perform sign language, imitate animals and identify countless objects.  Sophia’s exuberant personality brought joy to those close to her and her happiness spanned the world.  Sophia was loved by many and will be dearly missed, but her spirit will live on in each and every person she touched.

Sophia was predeceased by her great-grandparents Sofia and James Pe, Muy Eng Te Go and Go Kian, Anne and Arthur Charles Meisch and Jeannette and Richard White.  In addition to her parents, Sophia is survived by her Ama Elizabeth Pe, her Angkong Roy Pe, her Meme Pam Meisch, her GrampArt Arthur John Meisch, her aunts Kristin Pe and Allison Zagata and her uncles David Hicks and Craig Zagata.

Visitation will be from 2:00PM until 5:00PM on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at the LONGWOOD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION of MATTHEW GENEREUX, 913 East Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.

A morning visitation will be from 10:00AM until 10:45AM with a Funeral Mass at 11:00AM on Monday, January 27, 2020 at St. GABRIEL of the SORROWFUL MOTHER CATHOLIC CHURCH,  8910 Gap Newport Pike, Avondale, PA.

In lieu of flowers, we ask for gifts in Sophia’s memory to help perpetuate the Nemours A.I.
