Sylvia Ann Sherwood

Sylvia Ann Sherwood of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Crosslands.  She was 83 years old.

Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Sylvia was the daughter of the late Charles Schopp and the late Anna Spitzer Schopp.

She was the beloved wife of the late William Challenger Sherwood; mother of Cynthia "Cindy" A. Sherwood (Scott K. Christiansen) and Mary "Christy" C. Ward (George T. Ward); grandmother of Zachary C. Ward and Ryan D. Ward; sister of Alice Rotondo and the late George Schopp.

A visitation will be on Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 10:00AM until 12:00PM at the LONGWOOD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION of MATTHEW GENEREUX, 913 East Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square.  A Funeral Mass will be offered at 12:30PM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 212 Meredith Street, Kennett Square.

After the Funeral Mass, a luncheon reception will be at the Mendenhall Inn, 323 Kennett Pike, Mendenhall, Pennsylvania.  

Burial will at 11:30AM on Friday, December 28, 2018 in St. Mary Cemetery, 1341 Stafford Ave., Scranton, Pennsylvania.
