Anna Marrone Obituary

Anna Mary Marrone (nee. Zunino) passed away at her home on Friday, April 3, 2020 surrounded by her family.  She was 89 years old.

Born in Avondale, Pennsylvania, Anna was the daughter of the late Augusto and Alfonsina Zunino.

Anna, a woman of strong faith, was a member of St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church in Avondale and could often be found walking up and down rows of pews straightening out the hymnals after Mass.  She looked forward to rolling meatballs for the Church's annual spaghetti dinner.  Anna worked for Hewlett-Packard and loved her career there making transmitters.  She was a fan of baseball and her beloved Phillies.  Anna enjoyed cooking and shared her culinary creations with those around her.  Anna was always there to help anyone who needed it no matter what.  Her family was very important to her and she always made sure everyone felt loved and was appreciated.

Anna was the beloved wife of the late Albert J. Marrone {+1987); mother of Albert, Stephen and Michael Marrone; grandmother of Heather Lynn Gilbert and Sonia Irene Marrone; sister of Harry Zunino, Teresa Waller and Anthony Zunino.  She was predeceased by her siblings, Joseph L. Zunino and Lena D. Lovisa.

Services and burial will be private.

Memorial donations may be made in Anna's name to St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church, 8910 Gap Newport Pike, Avondale, PA 19311.
