Arlene Caponetto

Arlene Caponetto of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania passed away on February 10, 2026 at her home.  She was 88 years old.  Born on August 1, 1937 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Rose and Pasquale.

She was the beloved wife of Rudy Caponetto; mother of Julie Caponetto-Dixon; grandmother of Kyle, Richard, Holly and Pierce Dixon; great-grandmother of five.  In addition to her parents, Arlene was predeceased by her four siblings.

A strong person of faith, Arlene was a devout catholic and parishioner of St. Patrick Church.  She enjoyed playing card games, traveling to many countries, painting ceramics, baking and cooking for her family and hosting family gatherings.  A gifted astrologer, she would be quick to ask of others, "what's your sign"?  For many years, she loved spending summers and her time in Cape May, her sanctuary.

Visitation with the family will be from 10:30AM until 11:00AM with a Catholic prayer service at 11:00AM on Friday, April 10, 2026 at the LONGWOOD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION of MATTHEW GENEREUX, 913 East Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square.
