Brandon Davidson Obituary

Brandon F. Davidson of Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, age 65, passed away in the early morning of Saturday, the 8th of January 2022.  He was born on the 13th March 1956 to Mr. and Mrs. Davidson in Delaware County, Pennsylvania.

In May of 1982, he married Laura (Sauer) in Malvern, Pennsylvania and started a family in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania.  His childhood years were spent in Aston, PA and graduated from Sun Valley High School in 1974.
Brandon had an intense interest in science and technology and these interests led to a long career in Information Technology.  Brandon parlayed his very early experience with the IBM PC into programming jobs at the Franklin Mint.  During his 20 plus years of employment in the mid 1980's, he engaged in a development role in the Human Resources department with PeopleSoft computer software.  Brandon built a consulting business, Brandon F. Davidson Consulting, on the back of this experience and commuted across the country weekly for many years doing PeopleSoft development for some of the largest corporations in the country.  When the travel became onerous, Brandon switched to a permanent, full-time position at Conde Nast where he spent many years supporting the software of the global mass-media giant.  His career spanned a huge part of the history of computers, from the PC to Web 2.0.
Brandon raced motorcycles professionally in his early adulthood, including racing at Watkins Glen, New York.  Following a disabling accident during a race in 1992, which left him paralyzed and wheelchair bound, he retired from racing and continued to enjoy Formula 1 professional auto racing.  Brandon loved spending time with his family and friends, including watching classic films with his daughter, reading science fiction novels, learning new concepts about advanced sciences such as quantum mechanics and string theory.
Brandon is survived by his wife, Laura, and his daughter, Kara and her husband, Todd, all from Chester County, Pennsylvania; his mother-in-law, Carol from Estero, Florida; several nieces and nephews as well as his close long-time friend, Charles (Chuck) also from Chester County, Pennsylvania.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Chani in 2013, and by both of his parents prior to starting a family.
