Brenton Grant

Brenton Robinson Grant, Jr., 90, of Jenner's Pond, passed peacefully surrounded by his family on July 11.

He leaves his wife of 66 years, Marjorie (Moreland); sons, Brenton Robinson Grant, III (Mara); Edward (Xiaoming); grandsons Brenton Robinson Grant, IV and Geoffrey Mullen Grant (Cara Herrick). Born in Boston on April 13, 1933, his parents, Brenton Robinson, and Kathleen (Zwicker) Grant, raised him in St. Louis and Cincinnati. Mr. Grant was predeceased by his parents, his brother Douglas, and sisters Elizabeth and Priscilla.

Educated at Simon Kenton High School, Mr. Grant graduated from the University of Cincinnati, with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, and was a member of Alpha Tao Omega fraternity. After serving in the United States Army reserves, Mr. Grant spent a 34-year career as a chemical engineer with the E.I. du Pont de Nemours company.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 9, at 2:30 in the afternoon at Silverside Church, 2800 Silverside Road, Wilmington, Delaware. The burial will be private.
