Carl Lucas Sorzano

Carl Lucas Sorzano of West Grove, Pennsylvania, passed away on November 17, 2023.  He was 82 years old.  Born in Chester, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, Carl was the son of the late Elise (nee Herngren) Sorzano and the late Lucas Sorzano.

He is survived by his wife, Margene Sorzano; his son, Jeremy Sorzano (Lisa); his daughter, Laurie Evangelista and his 10 grandchildren.  He is also survived by his brother, Doug Sorzano (Jean).

Carl was a graduate of Ridley High School, Class of 1959.  He attended Grove City College for his undergraduate degree and continued his education at Widner University earning a master’s degree.  Carl worked at his family’s greenhouse for 15 years, before becoming the CFO at DeVault Foods.  Carl also served our Country in the United States Army, followed by service in the Reserves.  He was honorably discharged from duty as a Captain.

Carl was a creative person in all he did.  His hobbies included gardening vegetables and flowers, as well as creating lawn decorations.  He was a member of Willowdale Church, where he was a lifelong member of their bible study program.
