Concetta Rose Chambers

Concetta Rose “Connie” "Chickie"  Chambers (nee Caroselli), age 69, of Kirkwood, PA, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, and is now re-united with Our Lord.  She was 69 years old. 

Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on February 23, 1953, Connie was the daughter of the late Felix Michael Caroselli and the late Carmella Rose Caroselli (nee Uliano).  She was a caring and proud Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend.  

She was the beloved wife of Harvey Chambers; mother of Michael Anthony Chambers (Laura), Michele Fleming (Jeff), and Johnny Chambers (Alison); sister of Madeline Hollar (Steve), Michael Caroselli (Tina) and Jeanne Dodson (John).   She is also survived by nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased by both of her parents and by her grandson, Johnny J. Chambers, Jr. 

Connie worked in retail, operated an in-home daycare for many years, worked as an elder care-giver, and then worked with the family businesses, Kennett Beverage and Kennett Garden Market. 

Connie was nicknamed “Chickie” as a child because of her skinny legs.  She loved cooking (large Italian meals), hosting Sunday night pasta-dinners, the beach, the color hot-pink (often highlighting her hair and wearing bright clothes), dining out, gossiping, people-watching, shopping, and especially spending time with her family.  She fiercely loved her family, children and grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be from 10:00AM until 11:00AM with a memorial service at 11:00AM on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at the LONGWOOD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION of MATTHEW GENEREUX, 913 East Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square.  A luncheon will follow the service at the Mendenhall Inn.
