Daniel Berger, 70, passed away on August 17, 2023 in his home in Lincoln University, PA after a valiant 19-month fight with metastatic pancreatic cancer. His wife, Renee, and their children, Leslie Libra and Steven Pazan were at home with him when he passed.
Dan was born in the Bronx, attended local public schools and graduated from CCNY, where he first met Renee. Dan’s career in technology began as a top-notch copier technician in the early 1970’s. When computers came to the desktop, Dan started working with LANs and by the end of his professional career, he was running a data-center for a large international bank. Dan then reinvented himself by starting an eBay/Amazon business known to many as dangoodbuy - a business that will live on even after Dan’s passing.
Dan is survived by his wife, Renee whom he married in 2011 after rekindling their relationship from college. He is also survived by their children, Leslie Libra and her husband, Broc, Steven Pazan and his wife Kristen, and grandchildren, Blake, AJ, Maisie, Rose, Opal and Arlo Daniel; Dan’s brother, Joseph Berger and his wife, Deborah Fein and their two children, adored nieces, Liz Berger and her husband, James Fishelson, and Emily Berger and her husband, Adam Bowers; Dan’s great nephews, Elijah and Rafael Bowers and Rory Pike Fishelson.
Dan had a passion for family and hobbies - his early adoption of 3-D printing resulted in wonderful creations for his family and friends. He was an immense storehouse of knowledge and understanding of areas as diverse as how the physical world works and of Zen Buddhism. He will be sorely missed by all of his family and friends and never forgotten.
A virtual memorial service is scheduled for September 24, 2023 at 12:45 PM EDT.
