Darren Harkins Obituary

Darren Scott Harkins passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 13, 2021.  He was 45 years old and resided in Montgomery County, PA. Born on July 21, 1976 in Oil City, PA.  Darren was the beloved son of Guy V. Harkins (Audrey T. Harkins) and Judith G. Harkins (nee. Thomas).  In addition to his parents, Darren is survived by his daughters, Sarah Danielle Harkins and Tessa Lynn Harkins; his sister, Andrea L. Davis (Glen L. Davis III) and stepbrother, Neil R. Lawson (Lisa Lawson).  Darren graduated from North Penn High School in 1995.  He had a zest for life unmatched by anyone who knew him.  He was happiest in the company of his daughters.  As a custom carpenter with a tenacity for perfection, he could design and build anything with beautiful craftsmanship.  He was a Life Scout in BSA Troop 178.  His love of bow and rifle hunting and fishing along with his detailed stories were known by all his family and friends.  He always had his dog, Toby, by his side.  He will be remembered as a loving father, wonderful brother and beautiful son.  Those who knew him, even a little, lost a shining light in their lives.
