David John DePoulter Obituary
David John DePoulter passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. He was 63 years old. Born in West Chester, Pennsylvania on November 2, 1962, he was the son of the late John Joseph DePoulter and Rosemarie Testa DePoulter.
David was a member of the Kennett Square VFW and The Smoke and Iron Firefighters Motorcycle Club, where he was affectionately known by his brothers as “Paisan”. He enjoyed opening his home to, cooking for, and entertaining family, friends, and club members from around the country and around the world, especially at his regular fire pit parties.
David had a love and passion for many things in life, but none more than his holiday pizzelle-making sessions (how many this year, Dave?) and growing his prized, exotic hot peppers. He so looked forward to sharing those cookies and peppers each year with everyone he loved.
David was loved by many and will be dearly missed!
David is survived by his mother, Rosemarie Testa DePoulter; his brother, Michael DePoulter; his sister, Carole Scalia (Louie); nieces and nephews, Jennifer Scalia, Louie Scalia Jr., Brittani McGovern (Andrew), Dominic DePoulter, Layla DePoulter; and four great nieces, and his beloved, dog Mia.
Visitation with the family will be from 9:30AM until 11:00AM with a Catholic prayer service at 11:00AM on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at the LONGWOOD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION of MATTHEW GENEREUX, 913 East Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square.
