Donald P. Feyler Obituary

Donald "Don" Feyler, born on February 5, 1929, in the quaint town of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at the age of 97 on June 29, 2026.  Born to Irving and Thorborg Feyler, Don was the embodiment of kindness, humor, and warmth, leaving a legacy that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Don's journey began in Chelmsford, where he nurtured a deep connection to the land and community around him.  From a young age, he displayed remarkable entrepreneurial spirit, raising chickens and selling eggs to his neighbors.  This early adventure into business was just the beginning of a life filled with passion and dedication.

A proud graduate of Chelmsford High School in 1946, Don furthered his education at the Lowell Textile Institute, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Textile Chemistry in 1950.  During his college years, he was embraced by the brotherhood of the Omicron Pi Fraternity, forging lifelong friendships and memories.

It was in elementary school that Don met the love of his life, Isabelle.  Their marriage was a testament to enduring love, filled with shared adventures and travel.  Together, they found solace and joy in their small vacation home in Chincoteague, Virginia.  Isabelle's passing left a void in Don's heart, yet he continued to cherish the memories they created together.

Don's love for the outdoors was unparalleled.  Whether sailing with his brother or skiing with friends, he found peace in nature's embrace.  His beloved Labrador Retriever, Buddy, was his steadfast companion on many hunting and fishing adventures.  Known for his quick wit and infectious laugh, Don had an extraordinary ability to make everyone around him feel welcome and valued.  His warm smile could light up a room, and his genuine kindness left an indelible mark on all who crossed his path.

Predeceased by his brother, I. Wyman Feyler, and his beloved wife, Isabelle, Don is survived by his nephew, Richard W. Feyler, and his niece, Janet M. Camp, along with cherished friends, Dennis Park, and Donna and Edward Foley, who were as close as family.

A service to honor and celebrate Don's remarkable life will be held on July 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at Union Hill Cemetery, located at 424 North Union Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Don's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting his generous spirit and love for helping others.

Don's legacy is one of love, laughter, and kindness.  His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, a testament to a life well-lived and a spirit forever cherished.
