Doris C. Petersen of West Grove, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Friday, May 26, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her family.
Doris was a devoted mother, wife, daughter, grandmother, and friend. As the ultimate planner, she enjoyed the most out of life. Doris created memorable experiences through camping trips, travel with her husband Brad, spending time in her “happy place” in Ocean City, MD, and finding unique ways to bring her family together—near and far.
Undeniably, Doris was the “hostess with the mostest”. She enjoyed cooking German food to share with the people that she loved, especially her beloved grandchildren. Doris’ hardworking nature, tenacity, and commitment to family are a reflection of her upbringing and the deep love of her parents.
Doris’ selflessness contributed to her involvement in philanthropic efforts for numerous charities as well as her church community. Her enthusiasm for life, her devotion to her family, and her fun loving spirit will be deeply missed.
Doris was the beloved wife of Brad Petersen; daughter of Christel and the late Joachim Pehl; mother of Greg Cimino (Jennifer Cimino) and Nikki Clauser (Brock Clauser); step-mother of Lisa Petersen (Tommy Girvin), John Petersen (Amy Petersen), Christine Flohra (Ryan Flohra), Brittany Irwin (T.J. Irwin) and the late Brian Petersen; grandmother of Lucas Clauser, Emily Clauser, Kyle Krafick, Katelyn Krafick, Adam Petersen, Megan Flohra, Madeline Flohra, James Flohra, Eloise Flohra, Lillian Petersen and James Irwin; sister of Kordula C. Moore-Geesaman.
