Elizabeth L. McDowell

Elizabeth Ann Lysle McDowell, wife of the late Eugene G. McDowell, of New London, PA, died on November 30, 2022, at the age of 95. She was the daughter of the late James B. and Emma McMullen Lysle. She was a lifetime member of the New London Presbyterian Church, a graduate of Kennett High School - Class of 1945, and the Memorial Hospital School of Nursing - Class of 1948, of Wilmington, Del. She is survived by 5 children: Linda Gigliotti (Michael) of Irvine, CA; Rebecca McDowell (the late Davis Taylor) of Duluth, MN; Thomas McDowell (Judith) of Minnetrista, MN; Mary Louise Lawton (Darcy) of Madison, NC; and Margaret Chilla (Frank) of Honey Brook, PA, 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by two brothers, James B. Lysle, Jr. and Wilson R. Lysle.

Services will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at the New London Presbyterian Church, 1986 Newark Road, with visitation at 10:45am and funeral service at 11:30am followed by burial in the adjoining church cemetery.
