Eunice P. Alpen

Eunice P. Alpen (nee Spencer) went home to the Lord at age 88 on May 5, 2021 after a valiant fight against the virus, COVID-19.  Eunice was predeceased by her parents, Rowena (Robinson) and Paul Spencer.  Eunice was married to her beloved husband Ralph O. Alpen for 60 years prior to his death in 2013.  Eunice is survived by her six children Michael (Petra) of Cape Coral, FL, Denise Dodenhoff (Dcn. Ed) of Valrico, FL, Diane (Carlos) of Estero, FL and Lisa, Renee and Mark, all of West Grove, PA.  The rest of the family included ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Born in Cincinnati she was returned to her final resting place with the Spencer family.  Eunice has also lived in New York, Connecticut and Pennsylvania, joining her husband who was a master engraver.  Eunice was dedicated to her family, always present at school and family events as a silent cheerleader.  Eunice also enjoyed long drives through the Amish countryside of Lancaster County and visits from her family.

Eunice’s infectious smile made instant friends even during her last weeks whether in a hospital, rehab center or during Hospice care.  Eunice will be sorely missed.

Her burial will be private.
