Frank G. Daresta

August 14, 1941 ~ November 15, 2021 (age 80)

Frank George Daresta of Kennett Square, PA passed away on November 15, 2021 at Chester County Hospital in West Chester, PA.  Born in the Bronx, NY on August 14, 1941, to Frank and Winifred Daresta, he lived in the Chester County area for 46 years.  He was the beloved husband of the late Joan Daresta; father of Annette Guagenti, Frank P. Daresta and Brian Daresta; brother of the late Stephen Daresta, the late Andrew Daresta, James Daresta and Robert Daresta.

In addition to being a loving husband and father, Frank worked the majority of his professional career as a mechanical engineer, later launching and managing Lenape Air, LTD.  Throughout his life, he volunteered as coach of his children’s sports teams and as an Indian Guides Chief, was active at his church, and participated in a bible study group.  He loved home improvement projects and spending time with family and friends.  He always had a toolbox within reach ready to assist with anything that needed to be fixed.

Notwithstanding his professional schedule, Frank consistently sacrificed his personal time to help anyone in need.  He was an avid supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and appeared in a video, along with his wife, embracing his role as a legacy donor by advocating the importance of donations to help the children and their families.  He will be remembered for his generosity of spirit, willingness to help those in need, and his love of God.  Those who knew him loved him and know he is watching over them as one of God’s angels.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, 109 Gypsy Hill Road, Landenberg, PA. Visitation with the family begins at 10:00 AM with a memorial service at 11:00 AM.

Burial will be private.
