FRANK J. FICADENTI
Frank Joseph Ficadenti of Kendal at Longwood, Kennett Square, PA, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022. He was 100 years old.
Raised on a farm in Penns Grove, New Jersey, Frank graduated Penns Grove High School in 1939 and was the first member of his family to attend college. In 1943, he graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with supplemental engineering studies at Harvard Graduate School of Engineering, MIT and Columbia University. During World War II, Frank served as Captain in the U.S. Army Signal Corps, primarily based in the Pacific. After briefly working for the DuPont Company, he joined Atlantic City Electric Company in 1949 where he rose to Senior Vice President. After his retirement, he moved to Naples, Florida, while still maintaining a second residence nearby Atlantic City, NJ. An avid golfer, he also enjoyed traveling and investing.
Born in Woodstown, New Jersey, Frank was the son of the late Luigi Ficcadenti and the late Annunziata T. Ficcadenti. He was predeceased by his two wives Joanne A. Ficadenti and Lydia J. Ficadenti as well as his siblings, John Ficcadenti, Emma Chiarini Sorrentino, Mary Ulissi, and Joseph Ficcadenti.
He is survived by his two children with Joanne, Linda Gundaker and her husband Scott, and Frank Louis Ficadenti and his wife Catherine. Also surviving are two grandchildren, David and Shawn Ficadenti, and many nieces and nephews.
