George MacKenzie, Jr., age 77, of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania passed away after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, June 17, 2026.

Beloved husband, father, man of God, financial executive, Philadelphia sports fan and Delaware Blue Hen.

His first job was a newspaper delivery boy in Upper Darby and he served at the highest levels of Fortune 500 companies including Hercules, American Water, Safeguard Scientific and Tractor Supply.

He passed peacefully with his devoted wife by his side and is now home with the Lord.  His impact on family, friends and the community at-large cannot be financially quantified, it will last beyond his time here with those of us who were privileged to know him. 

A funeral service will be 11:00AM on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at Calvary Chapel Delaware County, 500 Brandywine Dr., Chadds Ford, PA.

A luncheon reception with the family will follow the service at Mendenhall Inn, 323 Kennett Pike, Mendenhall, PA.
