George William Morris, Sr. passed away on Friday, October 3, 2025 at the Christiana Hospital.  He was 87 years old.

Born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, George was the son of the late George Arthur Morris and the late Marguerite Crawford Morris.

He was the beloved husband of 63 years to the late Caroline Russell Morris; father of George Morris, Jr., (Judy), Timothy Morris (Jacqui), Tamara Morris, Brenda Mason (Heath) and Mark Morris (Tanya); grandfather of Michelle, Stephanie, Brandy, Samantha, Caroline, Scott, Cody and Zachary; great-grandfather of 10.  Brother of Virginia Turpin and the late Emily Kraft.

George was the Supt. of Grounds for the H.B. duPont Estate and the Red Clay Preservation.  He was a member of Indian River Yacht Club, Moose Club, Elks, Hockessin Fire Company, American Legion Post #4, Masonic Thompson Lodge #475 (Paoli) and the Longwood Fire Company.

Per his wishes, services and burial in Longwood Cemetery will be private by his family.
