Gloria Jean Maher

Gloria Jean Maher of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania passed away at her home on Friday, March 27, 2020.  She was 79 years old.

Born in Warwick, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of Walter Prytula and Rose Lombardi Prytula.

Gloria graduated from Nazareth College (Rochester, NY) and had a career in social work before becoming a dedicated mother.  She married her husband Jim in 1963 at the Log Chapel at the University of Notre Dame after courting him since the 6th grade!

Gloria had a love for reading and walking at Longwood Gardens.  She was a long time member of the Chester County Hospital Womens Auxiliary and volunteered at the Encore Shoppe.

She was the beloved wife of James I. Maher for 56 years; mother of Steven and Ellen and loving "Gammy" of four grandchildren.

Per her wishes, services and interment will be private.
