Grace Dorothy Kinkade (née Sparling), 88, of Kennett Square, PA, entered eternal rest. She is survived by her son Dan (Amy); her cherished grandchildren, Timmy, Gracie, and Liam; and her brother, Bob (Elaine). Grace's love and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Grace was predeceased by her beloved sons, Richie and Bobby, her brother Jack Sparling, and her sister Barbara Maier.
A devoted Christian and Baptist, Grace’s faith was the foundation of her life. Her greatest calling was motherhood. She raised her sons—Richie, Bobby, and Danny—in Woodbury Heights, New Jersey, dedicating herself fully to their care and well-being. As a single mother, she embodied quiet strength, perseverance, and unwavering, selfless love. Her children were always at the heart of everything she did.
Grace’s joyful spirit was evident to all who knew her. She loved to laugh, cherished people, and valued relationships above all else. One of her greatest traits was that she was young at heart; she often laughed that, even in her eighties, she still felt like a teenager. Her extended family—including her cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws—meant the world to her, and she treasured their closeness. Many friends from Woodbury Heights became like family, with the Parkers, Carsons, Leonettis, Browns, and Tascas holding a special place in her heart.
Grace will be remembered for her deep faith, joyful heart, and unwavering devotion to her family. She embodied her favorite hymn, The Old Rugged Cross, which reflected her strength and resilience throughout her life. She has gone home to be with the Lord she loved so deeply.
