Jack R. Hontz

Jack R. Hontz passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021 at Jenner's Pond.  He was 88 years old.  Born in Nescopeck, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Clarence Hontz and Cleo Hess Hontz.

Jack graduated from Clearfield High School and Penn State University where he earned his degree in industrial engineering.  He was employed by Boeing Aircraft in Seattle, Washington, Jeffer's Electronics in DuBois, Pennsylvania and retired from Masland Associates in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

Jack Hontz and Patricia Makufka were married on February 4, 1961.  In addition to being a wonderful husband and father, Jack enjoyed bowling, golfing and the many wonderful vacations with his family.

In addition to his parents, Jack was predeceased by his sister, Ruth Brubaker.

Jack was the beloved husband for 60 years of Patricia Makufka Hontz; father of Richard Hontz, James Hontz (Phaedra) and Carolyn Stacks (Dan); grandfather of Chelsea, Alex, Nathaniel and Julian; great-grandfather of Miles.

Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Carlisle, Pennsylvania will be private.
