James Virgil Newman

James Virgil Newman of Lincoln University, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Twin Pines Health Care Center.  He was 79 years old.

Born on July 20, 1945 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Virgil Holmes Newman and Marjorie May Pearson Newman.  

James served in the Unites States Marine Corps during Vietnam and was honorably discharged.  He was employed by the DuPont Company as an engineer for many years before retiring.  

He was the beloved father of Dawn Duggan (Drew) and Jennifer Templeton (Stacy); grandfather of Gabe, Paisley, Greyson, Hannah Tucker (Sam) and Sarah; great-grandfather of Amelia and brother of Irene Newman.

Services will be private.
