James Thomas Nugent, IV of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania passed away unexpectedly at his home on August 5, 2024. He was 71 years old. He was affectionately known as Jim, Jimmy, Nuge, and Grandpappy.
Born in Philadelphia, PA on November 28, 1952, Jim was the son of the late Harold James and Phyllis (Hufnagle) Nugent. He was a graduate of Conestoga High School and received his degree in Business Administration from Penn State in 1974. He spent nearly his entire career as a manufacturers representative working with his father and brothers for the family business, Nugent Associates, Inc.
Jim was a man of many talents and interests. He was an outstanding woodworker, and enjoyed fly fishing and golf. Jim was an avid fan of Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Eagles, Flyers, and Phillies. Most of all, he enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his sons, James Thomas Nugent, V and his wife, Sara of Dillsburg, PA, and Scott Nugent of Kennett Square; 4 grandchildren: Aiden, Chase, Mason and Charlotte Nugent; brother, Stephen Nugent and his wife Eleanor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, John Nugent
Visitation with the family will be from 10:00AM until 11:30AM on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at the LONGWOOD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION of MATTHEW GENEREUX, 913 East Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square. Burial will be private.
