Janice Niewinski

Janice Niewinski of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital.  She was 78 years old.

Born on June 10, 1944 in Philadelphia, Janice was the daughter of Frederick Faughaner and Florence Pasquarella Faughaner.

Janice was a homemaker and worked for many years as a book keeper/secretary.  She enjoyed summers boating on the Sassafras river with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Janice, with her husband, Eddie, started the legacy of spending every weekend with their family on the river, their love for boating is carried on by their children and grandchildren to this day.  

Her bright, sweet, kind soul will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

Janice was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. Niewinski, Sr., who passed away in 2014.  She is the mother Edward J. Niewinski, Jr. and his wife, Deborah, Lori Hands and her husband, Steve and Dawn Ennis and her husband, Kevin; grandmother of Amanda, Kristen and Eddie Niewinski, Stephen and Kelsey Hands and Sean and Nicole Ennis; great-grandmother of Gianni and Corey; dear sister of Nancy Tiernan and her husband, Michael; aunt of Michael Tiernan and his family and Melissa Martinelli and her family.

Visitation with the family will be on Friday, September 16, 2022 from 9:30AM until 10:00AM  with a Memorial Mass offered at 10:00AM at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church, 8910 Gap Newport Pike, Avondale, PA.
