Janice Taylor

Janice Elaine Taylor, age 82, passed away at Jenner’s Pond in West Grove, Pennsylvania on January 28, 2026.

Born in Wilmington Delaware to Otley V. and Mildred G. Beeson, Janice was raised in Wilmington, graduating from Brandywine High School in 1961.  She graduated from Goldey Beacom with legal and medical secretarial certificates.  After working for the Wilmington Medical Center until 1980, she began her career as Executive Secretary and Administrative Assistant, as well as a Membership Coordinator, with the Delaware Nature Society at the Ashland Nature Center from 1981 to 2003.

Janice was passionate in her public and private life, devoted to her church, to her family, and to various community and animal welfare organizations.  She was an avid knitter, fabulous cook, hiker, canoer, and gardener.  She was generous with her time, her resources, and her knowledge.

She is survived by her sister, Barbara N. Tinsman of Oxford, PA; her brother, Otley “Buddy” Beeson of Hancock, ME; her niece, Rebecca S. Tinsman of Elkton, MD; her stepson Bryan R. Taylor and daughter-in-law Diana P. Taylor of Felton, DE and their children—Zachary, Allison, and Joshua, plus her great-grandchildren Olivia and McKenna.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Ethan Botkin and Elsa Rose from her stepdaughter Stacy T. Botkin.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Richard W. Taylor and her stepdaughter Stacy T. Botkin.

A memorial service will be held at Jenner’s Pond at 12:00PM, Friday, February 20, 2026, in the Theater in the Allison Building.
