Jeanette "Jan" C. Nigro

Jeanette Catherine Nigro of Oxford and formerly of Avondale, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at home, as she wished on Tuesday, April 15, 2025.  She was 88 years old.  Born in West Grove Hospital, she was the daughter of Carmen DiProspero and Josephine Feconda DiProspero.

Jan was a 1955 graduate of Kennett High School.  She owned and operated her own hairdressing shop for more than 60 years.  Jan was a devout Catholic and forever member of Assumption BVM Catholic Church.  Her husband, Charles "Charlie" Nigro predeceased her in 2019.

She was the beloved mother of Vincent Nigro (Eileen); grandmother of Michelle Nigro, Allyson Piazza (Kyle) and Vincent Nigro (Devon); great-grandmother of 5.  Also survived by her beloved sister, Angie Owens.

A viewing will be from 9:30AM to 10:45AM with a Funeral Mass at 11:00AM on Friday, April 25, 2025 at ASSUMPTION BVM CATHOLIC CHURCH, 300 State Road, West Grove.  Burial will follow the Mass in St. Patrick Cemetery, Kennett Square.
