Jennifer C. Beard

Jennifer C. Beard of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania passed away suddenly on Friday, June 9, 2023 surrounded by family, love, and prayers at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital after a brief illness.  She was 69 years old.

Born in Charleston, West Virginia, she was the birthright daughter of Elsa and Nanny Ferguson.

She was a beloved sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, she'll be deeply missed by all that knew her.  She loved being a grandmother,  her two granddaughters (Grace and Emma Beard) were her sunshine, she enjoyed spending time with them, and giving them gifts and treats.  Family was always her priority, her warm smile and laughter will be missed.

Survived by her husband John L. Beard Jr, children John L. Beard III (Lindsay Beard) and Anna Beard (Jeffrey Singer Jr), grandchildren Grace Beard and Emma Beard, and brothers Jeffrey (Ferguson) Chidester (Nancy Hashinger) and William (Peewee) Sutphin (Rose Sutphin).

A celebration of life will be on July 9, 2023 from 1:00PM to 4:00PM at the banquet hall at the Kennett Square VFW, 704 W. Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square, PA 19348

In lieu of flowers donations can be given to the West Chester, Pennsylvania, SPCA for Jen's love of all animals.
