In her lifetime, Joan Potter Campbell, age 85, embodied and exemplified love, compassion, kindness and generosity with a strong unwavering foundation of family.  To know Joan, Aunt Joanie, Mom, or Mom Mom was to know a person who put others before herself, saw the humor and positivity in all situations, and led with a graceful Christian spirit.  And, on a lighter note, the Pretzel Jello, Chocolate Chip Cake, Deviled Eggs and other kitchen favorites defined her passion for bringing a smile to those around her.

Joan is lovingly survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert M. Campbell; her children, Joy Rosser (Jimmy), Bob Campbell (Kelly); her grandchildren, Jimmy, Jessie, Robbie, Catherine, Amanda, and Aiden; her brother, Frank Potter (Judy) and her sister-in-law, Mary Potter; and many nieces and nephews.  Joan is preceded in death by her parents, James and Agnes Potter, her brother, Jim Potter, and her grandson, Sean Patrick Campbell.

The numerous comical, memorable narratives with family, friends, and classmates throughout her life evolved from her early days in Folsom, Pennsylvania, where she was born, through her 1959 high school graduation from Ridley High School.  In 1969, Joan married Bob and they spent the next 57 years building a life and family together.  Not a moment was wasted, and not a day went by where Joan didn't appreciate her time with God and her journey to enjoy happiness with others.  Joan leaves behind a reminder to all of us to live a life of faith, laughter, and love, to find joy in the simplest moments, and to embrace each day with hope and optimism.  More importantly, she reminds us to be serving with God’s love as she looks down from Heaven with pride for a life well lived.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Joan’s honor on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at the Red Clay Room, 423 Dalmatian Street, Kennett Square, PA.  A Memorial Service will begin from 1:00PM - 1:30PM followed by food and fellowship.
