John "Jack" Danna

John “Jack” Danna, a resident of West Grove, Pennsylvania for 25 years, passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at his Wildwood Crest, New Jersey shore home.  He left this life doing what he loved, gardening.  He was 79 years old.
Born in Philadelphia on April 12, 1941, he was the son of the late Samuel and Sara Raffa Danna.  Jack moved to Morton, Delaware County, where he attended Ridley High School.  He graduated from  Pennsylvania Military College (now Widner University) with a Bachelor’s degree.  Jack retired from Allstate Insurance after a long, distinguished career as a claims adjuster/senior adjuster.
Jack enjoyed the Jersey shore, spending every summer for the past 42 years at his home in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey.  He loved fishing, boating, going to the beach, gardening, fresh fish from the Lobster House, daily phone calls with his grandson, “coffee/dessert” with family and cruise vacations.  Above all, Jack was happiest when spending time with his family.
Jack was the beloved husband of Vivian Riley Danna for 29 years.  He was the father of Jackie Danna Salmon and James A. Danna; grandfather of Julian Salmon; brother of Mildred Muscelli (Leonard) and Joanne Danna; cousin of Samuel R. Mami.  He was predeceased by siblings, Nancy Schwenk (late Walt) and James Danna (Jovita).
Jack will be sorely missed by all!

A viewing will be from 12:00PM to 1:00PM with a Catholic prayer service at 1:00PM on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at LONGWOOD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION of MATTHEW GENEREUX, 913 East Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.  Burial will follow the funeral home service in Longwood Cemetery.
