Joseph William Kennedy, Sr.

Joseph William Kennedy, Sr., of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania passed away at his home on Saturday, June 10, 2023.  He was 88 years old.

Born in Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Joseph Kennedy and Mary Langan Kennedy.

He was the beloved husband of Rosemarie DeSario Kennedy; father of Joseph W. Kennedy, Jr. and Christopher Kennedy {Jacquelyn}; grandfather of Carly Kennedy, Chloe Kennedy and Casey Kennedy; brother of William Kennedy, Mary Ann Dunn and Kathleen Kennedy.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, David Kennedy and Charles Kennedy.

A viewing will be from 11:00AM to 11:45AM on Friday, June 16, 2023 at the Longwood Funeral Home & Cremation of Matthew Genereux, 913 East Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square.  A Funeral Mass will be offered at 12:00PM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 212 Meredith Street, Kennett Square.  Burial with United States Air Force military honors will follow the Mass in St. Patrick Cemetery, North Union Street, Kennett Square.
