Joseph "Joe" Downie Moore, Jr.

Joseph “Joe” Downie Moore, Jr., of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania and formerly of Berwyn, passed away suddenly at home on Sunday, August 18, 2024.  He was 83 years old.  Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Joseph D. Moore, Sr. and Francis Smitheman Moore.

He was the beloved husband of Dale Suzanne Rimel Moore for 62 years; father of Brian Wilson Moore and Kelly Moore Chinappi; grandfather of 6 and great-grandfather of 4.  He was predeceased by his son, the late Joseph D. Moore, III.

A memorial service will be at 2:00PM on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at WESTMINSTER PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 10 W. Pleasant Grove Road, West Chester.  Visitation and refreshments with the family will follow the service in the church hall.
