Josephine I. Couden

Josephine I. Couden of Kennett Square passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022.  Born in Zionville, North Carolina on March 16, 1924, Josephine was the daughter of the late Harvey Carroll Icenhour and the late Bertha Warren Icenhour.

She was the beloved wife of the late Roy F. Couden; mother of Catherine Peyton of Alto, NM, Patricia Couden of Chadds Ford, PA, Constance Couden of Claremont, NC, William Couden of Toughkenamon, PA and the late Roy F. Couden, Jr.; grandmother of Kevin Peyton, Roger Peyton, Brian Peyton, Chad Peyton and Matthew Couden; great-grandmother of Sean Peyton and Seth Peyton; sister of Georgia Maine (105y.o.) and Harvey "Ike" Carroll Icenhour, Jr. (96 y.o.)

A viewing will be from 9:30AM until 11:00AM with a funeral service at 11:00AM on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at the LONGWOOD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION of MATTHEW GENEREUX, 913 East Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square.  Burial will follow the funeral home service in Union Hill Cemetery, Route 82, Kennett Square.
