Karen Sharman

Karen Lee Sharman (Slattery), age 74, of Oxford, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home on December 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on May 16, 1951, in North Tonawanda, New York, Karen was the daughter of Donna and William Slattery. Throughout her life, she was defined by her deep love of family, her warmth, creativity, and the care she poured into everything she did. She had a remarkable way of making every holiday feel special and every person feel welcome. She was a wonderful cook, a talented artist, devoted sister, loving wife, and the best mom one could imagine.

Above all, Karen was an exceptional grandmother. She was the very best “Grandma” to her six grandchildren—Liam, Grace, Alayna, Emma, Flora, and Ophelia—who she loved immensely and brought her endless joy.

Karen is survived by her beloved husband, David Sharman; her children, Sarah (Jeffrey) Ervin, William (Shannon) Sharman, and Rebecca (Louis) Zarrillo; and her cherished grandchildren. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who carry fond memories of Aunt Karen in their hearts.

Memorial service arrangements will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Karen’s memory to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or the Epilepsy foundation, or a charity organization of your choosing.

Karen was loved deeply and beyond measure. She will be missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
