Katherine Louise Sweeton

Katherine L. Sweeton, age 75, of Brookhaven, PA passed away on May 14, 2025 in Glen Mills surrounded by her family.

Born in Ridley Park, PA, to Clarence and Shirley (nee Snyder) Parker, Katherine graduated from Interboro High School in 1967 and Penn State University in 1971 with a degree in Social Welfare.  Katherine dedicated much of her life to serving others in social services.  Katherine worked for Delaware County Children and Youth Services for 23 years.  She previously worked for Pasco County Schools while raising her children in Florida.  She loved children, animals and nature, and was a talented Artist. Known for her giving and patient nature, Katherine was always supportive of those around her.  She cherished many memories of travel to Europe and with family and friends at Ocean City, N.J.

Katherine is survived by her children, Isaac Sweeton (Shannon) and Lara Getz (Stephan); siblings, Glenn and Gregg Parker.  She was an adoring Nana to her grandchildren, Elise, Trent and Stella Getz and Aunt to many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her family, Katherine leaves behind many friends who will cherish her memory.
