Kathleen "Kait" Margaret Ward Best

Kathleen (Kait) Margaret Ward Best of Wilmington, Delaware passed away on September 22, 2024.  She was 76 years old.  Born in Wilmington, Delaware, she was the daughter of Paul R. Ward, Sr. and Mary Jessie McMahon Ward.

She was the beloved wife of the late Fred Best who died in 2019; sister of Paul R. Ward, Jr. (Ranney), Geoffrey T. Ward (Sandy) and Barbara M. Ward-Werrett; sister-in-law of Karen Wadsworth (Jim), Jane Weick (Dan), Geri Donohue (Charlie), Tim Best (Beth) and Kevin Best (Nancy).  Also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by siblings, Elizabeth Ward Allen and Timothy D. Ward.

Burial was private in Old Kennett Meeting Burial Ground.

A celebration of life will be from1PM to 4PM on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at the DuPont Country Club, 1001 Rockland Road, Wilmington, DE 19803
