Katt {Katherine} Savoca

April 17, 1993

Obituary

Katt {Katherine} Savoca passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 6, 2022.  She was 29 years old.  Born in Syracuse, New York on  April 17, 1993, Katt was the daughter of Alice George Savoca and Joseph Savoca.

Katt graduated from Council Rock High School North and Rider University.  She was employed as an Admissions Counselor at Mirmont Treatment Center, and was a beloved cast member at Pennhurst Asylum.  Katt also worked at AR Workshop in Newtown, PA.  Deeply passionate about her many interests and activities, Katt had a zest for life.  She started bowling at age 4 and it was an integral part of her life.  She bowled for Council Rock High School North and later went on to coach the girl’s bowling team at CRHS South where she was a mentor and role model for many young bowlers. Katt loved scuba diving and was working on her Master Diver certification; she said the water always felt like home to her.  She played competitive laser tag, traveling all over the country to compete in tournaments.  Katt was a talented photographer and owned Katt Savoca Photography.  She always brought out the best in her subjects and made them feel special and beautiful.  One of her greatest passions was haunting.  She worked for several haunted houses, but found a home and second family at Pennhurst Asylum.

Katt was a radiant soul who brought laughter and joy wherever she went.  Her smile could light up a room and her puns and jokes could light up your heart.  She had an unapologetic style and was known for her creativity, kindness, compassion and absolute devotion to her friends.  Some people are said to wear their heart on their sleeve, but Katt wore her heart all over her body.  She loved tattoos and each one meant something special to her.  You just had to look at Katt to know who and what was important to her, from the Flyers to her favorite books.  From an early age, Katt had an affinity for animals, especially her beloved cats Little Miss, Buddy, Tippy, Lilli and her favorite rascal, Ghost Bear. Katt had a keen mind and loved puzzles and games.

In addition to her parents, Katt is survived by her brother, John Savoca and her maternal grandmother, Ruth George and step-mother, Denise Savoca.  She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Joseph George and paternal grandparents, Joseph Savoca, Sr. and Minnie Savoca.
