Kevin Hayes Bonsall

Kevin Hayes Bonsall passed away at Neighborhood Hospice on Tuesday, April 3, 2018.  He was 59 years old.  Born on October 29, 1958 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Samuel Burton Bonsall and the late Phyllis Armstrong Bonsall.

He is survived by his daughters, Victoria Bonsall, Bonnie Bonsall (Paul Puma) and Emily Bonsall; granddaughter, Scarlett Faith Basciani; brothers, Samuel Bonsall, III (Kay) and William Bonsall; and former wife, Christine Hunt.

Kevin grew up in Media, Pennsylvania, and spent his summers in Hack’s Point, Maryland, where his family owned a vacation home. Hack’s Point was his favorite place in the world, and he later enjoyed many memorable summer days there with his daughters: swimming in the Bohemia River, sailing on his Dad’s boat - the Tern II, and treating his girls to ice cream from the Hack’s Point General Store. 

Kevin had a special place in his heart for animals of all kinds, but he especially loved dogs. He also adored country music, candy (his favorites were good & plenty’s, swedish fish, and sour patch kids), and giving his friends and family unique nicknames that would stick with them whether they liked it or not.

At the core of his being, Kevin was an incredibly generous and warm hearted person, with a quick witted sense of humor and an unconditional love for his three daughters. 

A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the LONGWOOD FUNERAL HOME of MATTHEW GENEREUX, 913 East Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square.  Visitation with the family will be from 10:00AM until 11:00AM. 

Burial will follow the service in Media Cemetery, 40 Kirk Lane, Media.
